David Beckham sprints down the street clad only in a pair of briefs. A car full of Japanese tourists pull up, stopping his mad scamper. They play paparazzi, capturing him in a smattering of flashbulbs. But Becks doesn’t bat an eyelid.
This ain’t a girlie daydream but Guy Ritchie’s latest commercial featuring the chiselled soccer star.The advert for H&M’s latest range of men’s underwear has already got Twitteratti swooning. While girls want to wear the ‘still-warm’ pair of Beckham undies ‘straight from his bottie’ on their heads, guys are putting the phrase ‘man crush’ into good use. Some years ago, Becks had caused quite a stir, in Armani’s campaign. Spreadeagled with skimpy briefs and only a white shirt on, David was on billboards across the globe. This ad’s special since it’s directed by fellow Briton, Guy Ritchie. Now, brawny Becks makes a swift transition from LA Galaxy to Paris Saint Germain. Coach Carlo Ancelotti hinted that he could make his debut this weekend. Now that we’ve seen that booty in action (in the ad), time for some leg show, Becks!
